honourable mention for ONE in a million

Joya Thome's documentary ONE IN A MILLION received an honourable mention at its German premiere at Filmfest München (Kinderfilmfest):

Jury statement:

"By looking respectfully beneath the surface, this film makes it possible to experience two realities of life that - at least geographically - could not be further apart. Both protagonists succeed in breaking free from the expectations placed on them in a teenage world determined by follower numbers and clicks. They get to know their bodies, fears, needs and limits and let these experiences become a new life path. Through their courageous exploration of their true selves, the two girls Yara and Whitney develop an enormous inner strength that carries us through this so tender and important coming-of-age documentary.
