Bastian Günther wins the “Filmkunstpreis“ for Best Director in the competition at the German Film Festival in Ludwigshafen for ONE OF THESE DAYS!

Jury statement:

“The search for longed-for happiness in life is often aimed at unattainable material goods. Fairy tales and films know this strong narrative. In the english-language film area, these stories are increasingly finding their place in the "white trash population group". Poor, unemployed, longing.

A german director, who has been living and working in America for a long time, got us see a film at this festival, that tells the story of these little people with great humanity and an impressive directing performance, who dream the American dream in a single place, but which always remains a universally human one.

With ONE OF THESE DAYS Bastian Günther won the directors prize of the festival and our hearts.”
